1st Grade is when young children learn to read, generally speaking. Donating to this project will allow me to purchase resources that will be aligned to Common Core Standards, with the primary focus being Phonological Awareness. Consistency is key with young learners. The resources I will select will become critical components in our daily routine. They are fun, engaging, and developed by certified classroom teachers like myself. Student Engagement = Academic Achievement. All of the resources are accessible through digital platforms as well. Although I will begin the year in-person with my students, these resources will allow me/my students to seamlessly transition from in-person teaching/learning to virtual teaching/learning in a moment's notice - minimizing the disruption to instruction. This project not only helps me support my students, it allows me to support my fellow teaching colleagues.
