Flexible seating allows students to make choices that are best for them. While classrooms provide the basic chair and desk needs for students, we cannot expect young children to sit upright in a regular chair during the day and be motivated to learn. Students need movement to enhance their learning and if they are only thinking about wiggling, then they are not focusing and able to reach their full potential. Not only will they be more engaged, but this allows them to be comfortable while learning and have free choice for themselves!
