Currently, the students in my classroom are using traditional desks every day. But the desks are not conducive to learning. They are uncomfortable and many of my students just don't fit the desks. And they fail to meet our needs for the most optimum learning environment. The common third grade student is attempting to learn with a Chromebook, several workbooks, at least one notebook, pencils, and whatever other tools we may be using all on one small traditional desk. That is impossible. Imagine, instead, students using appropriately sized tables working in groups together rotating throughout the day for most optiumum learning through a variety of mediums and collaboration without being crammed into outdated underzied desks! With your help, these stained and rusted desks can be replaced with modern tables and chairs that will radically change my students' learning environment.
