The materials will help make the students' reading levels stronger and help them to develop their social and emotional awareness. Also, my wish is that my students will develop a greater sense of confidence and self-esteem in the area of reading and SEL. These materials could possibly be checked out for home use as well as in the school setting. The stories will be read and discussed to help the students to practice skills that will help to regulate their emotions. My students have weak social skills and interacting with their peers often requires adult support/prompting. My students need to learn how to play successfully at recess without getting upset and needing to come to an adult and tattle.
