No two emergencies are ever the same, so first responders need consistent, repeatable, experience-based training. But limited budgets, staff turnover, and scheduling conflicts make it almost impossible to regularly deliver meaningful training to first responders. By using an Occulus my students will be able to practice using many different scenarios without ever leaving the classroom. My students will train on multiple emergency situations including but not limited to patient assessment, stabilization, and advanced resuscitation in pre-hospital settings. The Occulus will help my students practice emergency pediatric assessment and review initial management priorities for critically ill infants and children in pre-hospital settings.
