My students have been begging me to teach them the skill of photography. Our theme for this year is "Be Kind".My students will be able to capture authentic moments that will illuminate the struggles and real world problems of today's society by recreating them with these tiny figurines. Through these moments we will learn empathy, an important piece of being kind. We've been inspired by David Gilliver's tiny people macro photography and will use his recreations as an inspiration for our own. Through this project my students will learn the basics of photography including the rule of thirds, the anatomy of the camera, how to hold a camera, shutter speed, ISO, and more. In today's world our generation of tomorrow will need more than just degrees. Trade skills are still in high demand and an integral part of our society.
