My special needs students often need to be physically holding on to something during lessons or require special seating in order to help them be comfortable in a chair. The sensory materials will be of great use throughout the day for sensory seeking behaviors. As well as calm down breaks. The adapted seating will be helpful for when they get the wiggles, simply cannot sit down OR stand up during 1:1 instruction, small group instruction and/or large group instruction. Sensory input is a very important part of our day !
