Scholastic News is THE thing that will help my students foster an interest in current events, social studies, and informational text. We are burdened with old, worn out social studies textbooks, limited resources, and no prospect of new materials any time in the near future. Scholastic News print and online editions will enhance our social studies lessons, engage our learners, and provide multiple pathways for learning our country's history and current events. As the debate over school funding rages on in our legislative body, my students desperately need this high quality resource rich with primary sources and fun activities that bring history and current events.
