I teach Kindergarten in a fully virtual setting! My students are exposed to many different learning modalities and styles! We play virtual games, we learn to read, we practice our math skills, and we work collaboratively. The Apple iPad Air and Pencil are great tools for distance learning and teaching. These items will allow me to easily connect with students and have access to apps I can use interactively during live instruction and during small group settings. These tools will help me model effective handwriting lessons live on the screen and engage all of my learners in math and writing! Using the mouse to model handwriting on the screen can be very difficult. Students need to see me model how to hold a pencil and see it pop-up in real time on their screen in zoom. The iPad can also be used as a document camera to complete written assignments together!
