Most learning that takes place is done in student groups. With the stool students will no longer have to drag their chairs to my small group table, but instead they will be able to use the stools that are there. Once a student leaves my table they are off with a partner or group to do more hands on learning and independent practice somewhere around the room. With these materials my students will have the flexibility to work with their peers or by themselves comfortably around the room. There will no longer be the need of moving desk or rearranging chairs. Most students like to sit on the floor, and now they will be able to!
