They try harder in Spring Math if they know they are getting a reward. They are timed 1 minute to see if they can answer all 10 questions. If they get them all right I let them pick out of my treasure box. This is a daily test. It gets them motivated. It shows the slower kids that it can be done. We do not go on to the next probe until we as a class get a certain percentage. We talk about what grade they got so they know they need to try their best to get a higher score. They also have a clip chart in my class.They are asked to clip up and down to different colors Depending on their behavior this allows them to clip up and down.Learning to follow directions in Kindergarten is real work. They are at that age where it's all about a prize. They also get to bring their prize home. This allows parents to see how they are doing in class as well. So any help would be greatly appreciated! It adds up quickly when it comes out of my own pocket with 52 students. Thank you !
