The use of all of these supplies throughout the school-year will give a sense of relief to students that are unable to purchase items. As middle schoolers, embarrassment is so crucial to their morale. Many times, my students have expressed that some of these materials such as scissors are items they don't have in their homes, or they are having to share with their siblings. The best way to increase interest, motivation, and effort in their assigned work is to have all materials accessible when needed especially when we get to the writing portion of our subject.
