The items in my project will be used to offer support for students in the Spanish immersion program. The items included in my project will help me meet the needs of the learners in my classroom and will ultimately students feel welcomed and supported in our classroom. Inclusivity is key! This is why I have also included Spanish books that will help students with social/emotional learning. The books included in my project highlight self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. Children need to move! Many of the items in my project are designed to allow flexible seating and help students focus during class time. The goal is to use these items to allow students to wobble, rock, bounce, and move their bodies while they learn. Movement helps increases oxygen flow to the brain, burns excess energy, and helps keep young minds more alert and focused.
