Students will use these materials to further their exploration of STEM, work on fine motor skills, and enjoy hands on experiences. STEM materials are great to use as a slow start to the day, engaging student brains and allowing creativity to flow, before the bulk of the day. Students enjoy science, but having new, nice materials to use for science lessons will further engage students. Many of the third grade science standards can be enhanced by STEM materials. In third grade, we learn about forces and motion, and animal lifecycles. By having STEM materials, we can help student create real-world knowledge about engineering, especially when learning about bridges. Students would reap many benefits of STEM materials used for science.
