Math has always been a tricky subject for kids and with that comes math anxiety. If someone were to say they couldn't read we would want to help them learn, whereas when someone says they are bad at math it's usually turned into a joke or brushed off. I want my students to be able to not only succeed in math but to make it so they aren't scared to be wrong. Math is presented in many ways and I want my students to know that math doesn't have to be textbooks and front of the classroom mistakes. These books are a way for students to see math in a glorified light and for us to be able to work through the idea of math anxiety without it sounding daunting. I want my students to see how it's used in everyday learning and why it's important to learn. Growth in my classroom will depending on my students attitude and this external resource can help us get there.
