During these unprecedented times it could not be clearer that our students and families need and deserve quality, accessible mental health services in their communities. Students have had to cope with various daily stressors and traumatic events that can significantly impact their learning and social development. My hope is to contribute to the healing of our students and the greater community with these therapeutic tools and toys. Students will be provided an opportunity to express their emotions, process their lived experiences, and learn coping strategies in a safe and welcoming space. This will help students decrease symptoms they are experiencing as a result of traumatic events. Focusing on the whole child provides the opportunity for long-term success for our students.

About my class
