I am requesting lab stools for lab stations which will allow students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During stations teaching and lab projects, students choose a lab space in the classroom that works for them. Currently my students have to stand a long time or sit on desk tops to complete labs that require them to focus. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them to complete lab projects in the classroom. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The stools are will allow students to sit at higher lab tables but will still allow some movement. These will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need to get sit somewhere different and work. My students love to sit and work at lab stations especially since Covid. They feel as though they are far enough away from people, but high enough for me to see them working. I am also requesting two adjustable teacher desks which will allow us to move around and help students while navigating the new virtual norm in the classroom!
