As we transition back from remote learning, I want to make my classroom a welcoming and calm space. After spending the past year and a half online, my (very large) classroom still has a long way to go in terms of decorations. The fluorescent lighting in my classroom is really harsh and, in order to meet students' sensory needs and create a more comforting environment, I want to increase the amount of alternative lighting. Especially in morning homeroom, I have found that students really appreciate the relaxing start to the morning!
