All of my students need help in printing and writing their names. It is very helpful to be able to do dot-to-dot worksheets. We also do a cooking lesson which entails tracing, the recipe and also creating a yummy snack it makes the perfect fun Friday dessert. I also incorporate math and measurement with each cooking lesson. At the end of the cooking lesson, I do a graph to show how many students enjoyed or disliked the recipe. You should see the smiles on their faces when they create their own special delight. At the end of the year I will laminate each students' recipe and they have a cookbook to share with family and friends over the summer. It's such a great way to engage children and who knows I may have a super chef in my class.
