I am a second-year teacher! This project will allow me to continue building my classroom library and provide my students with a variety of diverse books. These books in Spanish will allow my students to seek different perspectives and stories to theirs, and will also allow them to see themselves reflected in the books that they read. When students see themselves reflected in the stories and the stories are interesting to them, they are more willing to engage and take ownership of their learning. Students will be able to read these books in the classroom throughout the school year and the books will support my students' reading levels.
