My students will be using the whiteboards to help with Math content 1.OA.C.5 and Phonemic Awareness RF.12.a which will be really useful for them to sit comfortably while learning how to write new words and sound them out and counting during math. By using the seating students will be able to social distance and have comfortable seating throughout the classroom. Students will be able to move around and that will also help their social-emotional needs to be near friends while complying with COVID guidelines. The students this year need to be with their friends while collaboratively learning in a safe, productive environment. My students are motivated to learn but are struggling to focus on academics. I want to do my best to meet all of their needs and think that if I can address more of the social-emotional needs students will be comfortable and willing to take risks as learners.
