The goal of this project is to create a science library for my students. My students come from low-income homes and often don't have an opportunity to engage with interesting books covering scientific topics. Many of these students rarely engage with books at home at all. I hope to encourage young people to become scientists by allowing them to see how the many things they are learning about in class can influence the world. Many of the people, topics, and events that the books I have chosen influence these students' lives in a variety of ways. I hope some of these texts can inspire students to learn more about science and hopefully give them the love that I have for the subject.
