Flexible seating will help to create a comfortable classroom community for learning and growing in my classroom. After a confusing and difficult year of COVID-19, students are striving to locate their new normal. Arriving into a classroom greeted by hard plastic chairs and cold desks has been a strenuous transition. By funding this project, students will have a more comfortable option to complete their learning to feel safe and at home. I am looking to fill the room with authentic seating arrangements that model students at home (during online learning) or in future work environments. These include bar stools and tall tables, donut ball seats, cushions, chair wiggle bands, stools, and comfy bean bag chairs. Flexible seating options help students find their best learning spot and emphasize that learning is not attached to hard plastic chairs! I am so thankful and am looking forward to providing my students with the best classroom environment possible! Thank you so much for reading about my project.
