The popcorn machine will be used to reward students as they work hard all week to meet their individual and group goals. They will not only be rewarded with the taste of the delicious treat, but they will also be able to take part in making the popcorn and watching it pop. In addition, the behavior clickers, timers, books, etc. will with help them identify, track, and monitor their own emotions and behaviors. The stress balls will help students with learning calming strategies when feeling frustrated or angry. Donations to this project will help support my students as they work to practice learned positive self-regulation skills at home, at school, and in the community. The materials requested will provide motivation and rewards, as well as help facilitate teaching and learning skills that can be generalized and used in all settings. Through this project, students will be able to participate in activities that promote self-regulation, and use materials that help reinforce what they have learned. On Fridays, they will be rewarded for their hard work with a popcorn party to celebrate their success.
