I am a first-year teacher, because of this I have a limited classroom library. My students are going to have a biography project where they read about a person that changed the world. In order for them to do this, I need to have books they can use to learn about people who have changed the world. Such as Marie Curie who made groundbreaking scientific discoveries. The books that I have chosen are right on grade level for my students to read. This will make the project more meaningful for them in the long run. This will also help them to grow in their reading abilities, as the books are not too hard but not too easy for them to read.
