Students will benefit from these items with literacy, math, and social standards. I will be able to use some of the tools listed (Cricut/laminating) to create new hands on literacy/math centers in larger quantities to ensure the safety of my students while keeping with COVID safe (easy sanitizing). The books chosen will help student learn to deal with their feelings due to these new times. Students will use the paper/construction/crayons/Post-It chart paper to express themselves in creating projects to help them convey their feelings through cultural projects. The hands on games and manipulatives will help my students learn to work together socially and academically. All of the materials in this project will be used by my students so that during these times of change, without interruption to learning, will feel safe while being able to create, share feelings, and thrive emotionally and academically. SS.K.1With prompting and support, generate compelling questions to explore how learning and working together builds a classroom community. SS.K.10 Share and discuss stories that illustrate honesty, courage, friendship, respect, and responsibility. SS.K.11 Explore strategies to resolve conflicts in the classroom. R.I.K.1 With prompting and support, ask and answer questions about key details in a text. LK.2d Spell simple words phonetically, drawing on knowledge of sound-letter relationships. K.MD.A2 Directly compare two objects with a measurable attribute in common, to see which object has “more of”/“less of” the attribute, and describe the difference. For example, directly compare the heights of two children and describe one child as taller/shorter.
