This program will give students a hands-on opportunity to experience real-life, hands-on working and learning experiences. The materials that they will use will build their self-esteem, teach them how to use materials the proper way and for what type/texture of hair to use it on. These are the foundations my students need for working in a salon or barbershop. Here at Mater Academy, we hold our students to a high standard of going and completing college. With that, I think it is important to expose our students to different trades that could potentially give them the means to provide them with that college education.

About my class
