Once the students have been taught how to use these items during teacher led instruction or whole group, the expectation is that they will be able to use them independently during small group or independent time while I am teaching in the teacher led center. As for the musical instruments, we're are going to have jam sessions to celebrate our successes and release some energy!! My students sometimes get uncomfortable and fidget sitting at their desks, so I like to give them the option to have wobbly chairs or bouncy balls to sit on. As long as they are learning and happy, I'm happy. 😁
