The materials in my project will be placed into our student fitness lab and be available for immediate use. The old, won out, and broken equipment was removed last school year and that has left a void that needs to be filled. Our old rowing machines were broken and not able to be used. Our weight machine was dangerous to use and had to be removed to help keep our students stay safe while exercising. New row machines and dumbbells already have a place marked out in our fitness lab. We have been placing an emphasis on learning proper techniques for all aspects of exercising. New equipment will go a long way to help ensure we can teach those techniques safely. My project will help encourage students to take a more active role in learning life long skills to keep their bodies healthy. Exercising is a way to relieve stress as well as strengthen the heart and other body muscles. Middle school is very stressful and exercising is being presented as a way to deal with that stress in a healthful way for not only the body, but for the mind as well. Please consider being a part of this healthful change for our students.
