Throughout my 13 years of teaching, the lessons students consistently tell me they love most are my book talks. I have a passion for reading YA books that spills over to my students, which is why I began creating entire lessons around sharing my favorites with them. When students walk into the room and see the books wrapped up like presents, they get so excited to hear about the books that will be gifted. We watch book trailers and read small passages. Even the ones who don't win a book get excited to read!
