My special education students will have the resources they need to hear sounds in the English language and identify the letters they represent through systematic and explicit phonics instruction. Research shows an importance in explicit phonics instruction, coupled with great phonemic awareness not only helps students with dyslexia and bilingual learners, but the entire classroom population. These activities that benefit all students are the perfect way for me to provide exceptional education to not only my special education students, but also to foster inclusion within their general education classroom. Help me to close those achievement gaps!
