These materials will allow me to set up the classroom in a way that is inviting to students and encourages them to read. The books listed will help to create our independent reading library. The Cricut maker will help me to create a library that is tailored to my students and can change as they grow. Many of these books were selected to also help foster a love for reading by giving these students an opportunity to engage with diverse books and interact with characters that are similar to them. All items listed will contribute to creating an environment that will help students fall in love with literature and boost their independent reading levels! Flexible seating will allow students to be comfortable while reading, the bands I have listed will give students that flexibility. .
