We currently do not have a computer between the two art teachers at our applied learning campus. The students have chromebooks but these are not adequate enough to run intensive software like Photoshop, Illustrator, Blender, Sketchup, AutoCAD, iMovie, Final Cut, 3D modeling software, and even AR software. I am well versed in a large majority of these, and I want to provide that intersectionality between STEM courses and our creative courses. We have used imitation software on their phones when in reality they just haven’t worked well enough. By having a computer like this, my team can provide our students with new experiences and avenues for creativity and ways to push boundaries and innovation. I have been fortunate enough that friends have donated to my students several wacom tablets and we need the adequate computer to run these along with newer more powerful programs.
