Throughout the year I adapt what I am teaching to the students that I am working with, and what they need to help support them in the general classroom. Through Scholastic News I can give students resources that connect them to the world around them and use them as conversation and writing starting points. Also with the gift cards I will be able to find many resources that I can use over and over for years to come. I frequently buy things to help engage and teach my students. Giving them many opportunities to practice skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking is huge, and between these two sources I can help them greatly!
