Small-group learning improves academic achievement, relationships with classmates, teachers and promotes psychological well-being. Instructional Flexible seating also allow students who needs to be constantly moving to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. Some of my current student prefer to work in different area like sitting under the desk with their whiteboard as a sturdy material to hold their worksheets, sitting on the floor because some of them needs to be constantly moving so they can focus more. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are given a choice in their seating. They are more engaged and and more work are getting done than when they are just sitting in their desk. My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of where to work.
The products that I have selected will help my students work in a small group as well as giving them additional seating options to make more learning meaningful and effective. The movable cart will allow my students to have their supplies organized in one station that they can move next to their small group working area. These will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need to get the wiggles out. They can also be used as an alternative chair if needed to calm students who’s having trouble sitting still on their desks for long hours in school. They are lightweight and can be easily used in many areas of the classroom.
I have seen how learning location flexibility can positively affect my students work and demeanor and I hope that the additional options will help my students succeed and enjoy learning even more!
