The materials in this project will help students learn empathy, compassion, and diversity. These books will help students discover different cultures and people in the world. These skills will be crucial in helping them learn how to treat others with respect and kindness. Additionally, a few of the selected books are focused on emotion growth and self regulation. My students are still dealing with big emotions from covid, and lack of time to socialize with peers. The social and emotion books will provide an additional layer of support to help students learn ways to help cope with an ever changing world. The stem activities were picked to give students manipulatives to spark scientific and problem solving skills. These resources will expose student to the possibly of scientific or hands on careers they may not have considered before. Thank you for your support to provide these amazing students with lifelong skills they will learn from using the selected materials, as well as your help to make education the best it can be.
