The use of the graphic drawing tablet would help with all of the daily activities in my digital special needs classroom. I teach self contained all core subjects and one community skills class. Using the scaffolding teacher model in math, I will be able to write the problems live and model number sentences and write the answer and my students can see it in action in real time. I would also be able to show examples of penmanship. In addition to traditional methods of teaching, I would like to use the graphic drawing tablet to explore innovative ways to use the creative suite our school has provided through adobe products such as photoshop, illustrator and animator. The type of students I teach often have a strong affinity toward technology, music or art. Often times genius is revealed through these means. I think it is not often explored in the classroom and I would like to see if I can incorporate all of the elements collaboratively to unlock their hidden genius. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
