TIME for Kids is a weekly nonfiction magazine that gives kids practice reading about real events seen from a kids-eye-view. They will read articles both at school and at home, and will love engaging in discussions and even informal debates on some of the topics during class time. The student subscription includes digital access, so they will have access even if/when they need to learn from home. Having the opportunity to read about real-life topics will not only improve students’ reading skills, but will directly impact their writing skills as well. Each article they read will later serve as a potential model for their own writing during our Informational and Persuasive writing units during the second semester.
