I have a bigger classroom this year, which is awesome because it gives me space to actually have an inviting place for students to read and work on reading workshop activities. Creating an inviting atmosphere helps facilitate a love of reading because students see that reading should be comfortable and fun. I am also requesting different books on reading, writing, and phonics strategies because I teach English Learners who need more remediated reading and phonics instruction. These books will help me lessen my planning load and provide quality instruction to my students!
