My first grade students love to read and look at books. My plan is to use these iPads to upgrade the listening station within our classroom and bring it into the 21st century. It is during this time students will break into small groups to visit the listening station or find a cozy spot in the classroom where they will have the opportunity to listen and read along with the story chosen for that day. This provides student with the chance to enhance their reading skills by increasing their reading comprehension and building a vast vocabulary. These skills are important to reading fluency.
