While our students go into their second year of computer-based learning, we have found there are some gaps in their resources. Many of our students do not have access to any technology outside of what the school provides. Before our students can be successful, they must have access to the tools they need to learn efficiently. This includes mice for their laptops, and headphones so they can listen to videos or lessons independently. While it may be too expensive for now to buy each student their own mouse and headset, a classroom set is a good start. In addition to providing them access to materials, we have fount that the students' transition back into the building this year is causing them overwhelming stress and anxiety. In order to calm their minds, I've added the sensory tools to this project. They may not be able to escape the world of virtual learning, but maybe we can make this year a little more soothing.
