Middle School is a crucial period for developing and maintaining social and emotional habits for their mental well being. Many of our students are living with one parent, grandparents, or in foster homes and they lack the guidiance on how to handle stressful situations at home and at school. It is hard for students to concentrate on their school work when they are facing mental issues and have no one at home to teach them coping skills. Using the materials and books from well known experts, the materials will help me show the students a variety of ways to become mentally stronger and have a more positive outlook on life. I need to show them that they may be having a bad day, but not a bad life.

About my class
