The area rug will allow the students a comfortable place to sing, dance, play instruments, compose, share, and create countless other musical moments with their classmates. The flexibility of the rug acts as not only a space for students to play instruments, but also as an area where students can sit and create rhythm patterns, play chase games, and work in groups. This is a chief factor in my request of this product. For instance, there is a chase game called "Black Snake" where the students are seated in a circle and the person who is "it" walks around the circle and places a toy black snake behind a seated student and thus, a duck duck goose style chase (safely walking) persists. I would usually have to use painter's tape to mark the boundary of the game, but with this area rugs the students will have a clear boundary of where to move.
