These products will allow me to access many of my students at their pre-academics level and will support their emotional regulation during learning time in the classroom setting. Many of the math counters can be used for hands on counting, while the timers and sensory objects are placed in a students hands or on their desk and used when they are fidgety and need a tool to regulate themselves while listening to a story or paying attention to the teacher giving directions. Many of my special education student benefit from using these tools to help them at their desk so they can continue to be a part of the lesson. Sensory tools and supports allow students to calm and focus their minds, bodies and hands while I am reading, teaching and supporting their learning in the classroom setting. I have many students who require these tools and materials daily to support their learning in the general education setting. These aids will allow them to regulate their bodies and minds while accessing the curriculum.
