This project will have students create crystals. I did this project with the students last year and they loved it! They are able to use a pipe cleaner to make their initial of their first or last name, heart, or any creative idea they have. Once they mix all ingredients it soaks overnight and the crystals form on the pipe cleaner. A struggling student last year FaceTimed her mother to show her the crystal she made. They can keep it or give as a gift to their parent. Some even made necklaces with them. For me, as a teacher, it was great to see their excitement in an experiment.
