We will be teaching Special Ed students how to care for themselves at home and function independently in the community. Our classroom will be divided into four station, we will have a working restaurant, post office , bank, and grocery store. Where the students can practice working on skill where they are able to implement them in the real world. Task includes: Making small meals, Washing dishes, Making beds, Self-hygiene, leaving how to shop to buy food and clothing, banking skills. While in the our classroom and the community, we will be working on job skills and social skills. We will be attending Community-Based Instructions (CBI) once a week at Walmart, Goodwill, Opportunity Village Thrift Store, and Kohls. The students will be learning how to fold clothing and hang clothing by size and color. They will be stocking shelves and organize food.
