Students will learn best when they feel safe and comfortable and what a better place to make a comfy and "homey" environment than your own classroom. My students will definitely have more interest in learning and create more work when they feel more comfortable. Making sure my students are comfortable is my top priority as a special needs teacher. The students will love to have read aloud in the library area while reading a shared book using a document camera. I find that annotating and placing emphasis on key points in real time is what helps students understand the reading. Students will be able to choose where they learn and become more of an independent learner. Students need the appropriate materials for learning and having a classroom environment where they receive full support will be the best way I can enhance their learning. Especially coming back to school and working our way to a normal school year. Having an environment where students can be creative, think outside the box and not feeling obligated to work has an amazing impact on students.
