In my current classroom, I have 2 very old and poorly assembled bookshelves. It's impossible to rearrange them to different places around the room because they will fall apart. I even fear that a student looking through one of the shelves might get injured (they are nails sticking out on one shelf, and the other is splintering old wood). These materials will make a huge difference in not only the appearance of my classroom but also the safety. As a Reading and Writing teacher, it's crucial that my 5th graders develop and foster a love for reading and these bookshelves will make a huge difference for years to come!
