By the time they reach middle school, students often see reading as boring or just a means to an end on assessments. Our goal is to change this by creating a culture of reading on our 8th-grade team. We want each subject to have a classroom library with diverse, engaging, and interesting books for students to take home during hybrid and virtual learning. Students are even participating in a homeroom reading challenge across our team! These books will allow students to explore genres that they may have never read before, and see the world from another point of view.

About my class
