Our library media center is in need of engaging resources to help students develop STREAM skills (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Math) to empower them to be in charge of their own learning. Our goal is to incorporate STEAM centers during library time so that students can develop creativity and critical thinking skills through cooperative learning. The products that we have selected combine the use of literary text with hands-on STEAM activities that will challenge all students to build reading skills along with engineering concepts. Some of the Nevada Academic Content Standards for Information Literacy that will be supported include 2.C.1, 3.T.2, and 5.S.3.
